About Faith ForestFaith Forest is a rotational Sunday School model for children age 3 through 5th grade. We meet in the lower level of the church from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. We utilize the PowerXpress Bible Experience Stations from Cokesbury. This curriculum model allows children to experience the Bible story in multiple ways. Volunteer leaders teach the Bible lesson through cooking, games, storytelling, science, art, and music over a period of six weeks. When children see AND hear AND do, they retain 90% of the experience. Morning schedule: 9:15-9:30AM – Check-in and learning stations in the Cove 9:30-9:45AM – Opening in the Cove 9:45-10:25AM – Rotate to Lesson of the week 10:25-10:30AM – Closing in the Cove In addition, we plan special family activities throughout the year. Favorite events include swimming, inflatable toy funday, skating, and Birthday Party for Jesus.
About Children’s Church Children’s Church is a program for children from kindergarten through 2nd grade. They meet each Sunday morning during the school year from 10:45-11:45 a.m. The children begin the morning with a children’s message in the church service then move downstairs for a lesson that correlates with the day’s Faith Forest message. Parents pick up their children from the Resource Center located on the lower level of the building.
About the Nursery Our nursery is available for children from birth through age 3 on the main floor of the church. Parents are issued a beeper when they check in their child for ease of mind if any problems should arise. Our volunteers engage in play activities with the children and provide a morning snack. The spacious rooms are filled with a variety of age appropriate toys for the children with one room targeting infants and a second room geared more towards toddlers. The nursery is available from 9:15 – 11:45 AM. For more information, please contact Pastor Joe Greemore in the church office, 267-0380 or by email.
